Hee hee - I understand - birds even more than other critters occasionally go through that "ugly duckling" stage - even as adults!

And thanks everyone for the well wishes. It's a full-body scan, and hopefully everything is clear. Really this has been such a lightweight experience compared to any other kind of cancer, I am not complaining. But things do take time!

I just realized I never updated you all after the scan! I am officially cancer-free, which was nice to hear! Hopefully that is it and I never have to do that "no iodine" diet ever again, but I am prepared if I need to!

And we do need birdie nominations! We have not have many feathered pets to feature lately, and you know your fids are worthy, right?

Goats actually outnumbered birds in November - so I do hope you all nominate some feathered friends! You know you love them!

Yay!!! Wow, that's the best news!! Cancer free :D So glad to hear you're well!

Let me look through my pics of my non-molting guys and see what I have :)

Okay, folks, it's a new year - Happy New Year, everyone!

It is National Bird Day (Twitter hashtag) and I figured I'd prompt you all to nominate your birdies for Pet of the Day! ;)

Hey birdie friends! We have not been getting many nominations lately, and especially of the feathered friend kind! They are far outnumbered by guinea pigs and other furry critters. I so do not want have to shut down our website, so please everyone nominate your beloved pets, okay?

Tell the world about your pet! - Pet of the Day

Sadly, it may be a generational thing, but we have been getting human selfies with the animal only in the background, and I know the folks here would not do that!

Love you all, and your birdies, too!

Lol, fine! I will nominate my sweetie pie, Milo, for pet of the day! (Didn't have to ask me twice, lol)

Come on bird people go to petoftheday.com and support Karen's website :). Twigs my budgie was pet of the day recently... It was so fun seeing him there!

Hi, folks, sorry I have been spotty in visiting over the last month or so. Life has changed, I am now widowed as of May the Fourth - Star Wars Day. Sigh.

I am still doing the websites! We have not had any birdies nominated lately at all, it seems to be all small furry creatures - so please nominate your birdies! I'd appreciated it!

The form is at Tell the world about your pet! - Pet of the Day and you can always email or PM here with any questions!

I am so sorry for your loss...my heart goes out to you:(
I'm glad you're back with us.

Hugs! I am sorry to hear you've had a loss.

Thanks, folks. It has been beyond hard, but I am determined to keep the websites running, it is his legacy as much as anything is.

My deepest condolences to you and your family for the loss of your husband, Karen. You and yours are in my prayers.
