English Budgie
Good post by Ellen above. Any parrot species including budgies, are an exotic pet that takes just as much time and specialized care to keep properly and keep them thriving and happy. You get out what you put into it.
I LOVE my English budgies. Actually English and standard budgies are genetically the same species. There are no flocks English budgies in the forests of England . They came about by being selectively bred for the show bench.
I've had other species for many years before ever having my first budgie in 2012. I'm so glad I had discovered them then. I fell in love with budgies. Now, I feel I will never want to be without a budgie. I've had larger birds from 350 to 600g, and now I have small and medium parrots, but out of them ALL, budgies are one of my all time top favorite parrot species. I can't even describe in text why. If you love budgies, you just know what I mean.
