Should I be worried ...

Ok, so tonight I noticed that one of Hamlet's tail feathers is broken, mind you it's not bleeding and it doesn't look like it did ... the shaft is damaged though and the feather is bent at like a 90? angle so half way down the tail feather it sticks out straight ... should I be worried or is this a normal thing ... I really hate not knowing these things ...

i think it should be fine unless you see its bothering him. if it does start bothering him then you'll have to take him to the vet, or you might be able to doit, but you have to pluck out the feather. But if its not bleeding, or not bleeding alot and it doesnt look like its bothering him then it should be fine. It will just fall out during his molt.

Hamlet probably just bent while playing around, I always leave them if they're not blood feathers for them to pull out themselves or come out during a molt. You can pull it out yourself if you want but you might make Hamlet mad at you so probably best to let him do it himself.

No, don't pull it you could end up doing more harm than good. Hamlet will get it out on his own accord. Bucc had one last year that way turned way round so it was looking at him, It took him a couple of days but he got it out in the end. Just keep an eye on it and if you are really worried then you know where to go don't you. Don't want to say the word, I know Hamlet hangs out with you and I would hate for him to know that it was me who told you to take him to the A.V

Honestly though he will get it out on his own accord, if you do see its bleeding then take him to the vet, they are far better equipped to handle things like that.
