Short Salty Video in his harness

So we just got back from the pet shop, for pellets, 3 new toys for Salty ( he gets to pick them out), a metal cage for fruits and stuff - like a foraging toy, a footie toy, Avicakes, Nutriberries, Doggie food and Dentastix for Tinker. WHew - close to $200, but we are set until I return from China sometime in Dec. Salty was so good putting his harness on - I think I finally have a tecnique. Hold his head gently to put the head loop on, and then onto his back to put the wing straps on and tighten it all up. YEAH! No bites, no scratches and no blood! Oh and a ready supply of pine nut pieces to reward him the whole time he is in the harness. Crazy- the staff at the pet shop know him from the last time we went there, and the stores staff all came over to the check out counter to say hello. Salty obliged by saying - nothing, but he did give me kisses.

Lookin' good in your harness Salty boy..I'm sure everyone goes ga-ga when he's at the pet shop Al..who wouldn't be?
If I'm flying solo at the AllPets I' always get "Where''s Amy??"

Dogs and cats are a given...but A Parrot on some ones shoulder?? not seen everyday.

We had an exceptionally nice day together. I don;t get many weekend days where I can just hang - If you're a homeonwner, you know there is always SOMETHING that needs fixin'. But not today. Right now he is singing "Little Brown Jug" and telling us that he's a Pretty Pretty Pretty Bird. Very animated because it's 10 minutes to training time, and I swear he has a watch hidden under his feathers.

Thanks Kev, but really all this takes is 20 minutes of close training every evening, religiously. We spend more time playing and giving Salty scratchies. Salty is an amazing parrot to us. He is a member of the family.
