Me too! They're just so deep and soulful! I think we will definitely have many happy days ahead!

She is 6 months old. Her hatch date was April 1st. She was the last of the clutch of Rosies they had left. I know several people were looking to get her, but the aviary she came from doesn't take credit cards so people were all trying to do payment plans but since I have been looking into different breeders about an RB2 for about a year now I had the money all saved up and was able to pay in full so I ended up getting her. There are some upsides to setting aside your bird money in the savings account, lol!

I'm actually right next to Georgia. I wonder if you got her from who I think you did. They're really nice but are downsizing due a move, which is why they didn't hand rear my bird themselves, but outsourced her a few hours away to another trusted breeder who doesn't breed macaws. Be sure to send them pictures, once Lucille gets all comfy, as they really do appreciate updates.

Funny enough I immediately though of Lucille Ball. "I love Lucille" has dual meaning now.

Yup, I am pretty sure they are the same people because they're definitely in the midst of moving right now (Brightwood Aviary). Great breeders--I am really impressed by what a fantastic attitude Lucille seems to have toward people.

Lucille does sort of have "red hair" so I think she'd make a good Lucille Ball! . (Not to mention I grew up loving "I Love Lucy"!)

I knew it. I just wish they could have handled the hand feelings, but Big Birds seems to be doing an equally great job. The fact they raise then around dogs, household noise, kids of different ages, and people is very useful!

Now you can walk in and yell "LUCY YOU HAVE A LOT OF EXPLAINING TO DO" and train her to laugh.

Thanks guys! She really is so beautiful! She's still a little nervous about spending too much time on my hand, but she willingly steps up if you put the hand out there for her--you can just tell she's not too sure yet whether she totally trusts this strange person's hand, lol. She's still having a good time playing with her shiny new disco ball toy and sitting on her hanging "log bridge" and generally settling in well!
