What does it look like now??

Actually, the outer layer of my thumbnail flaked off just a few days ago. Here's what it looks like now:

Not a funny situation...Monte bit my thumb and I couldn't feel it for 3 months... beautiful birds....POWERFUL BEAKS.

I received my first gash from Niko Friday evening. Also my thumb. Not bad enough to need stitches, but bad enough.

Ehh, don't be scared, but definitely have a healthy respect for what these beautiful birds are capable of!!

A large macaw has the ability to break bone quite easily with a hard bite...but typically you can watch them for signs of aggression...

Monte was abused before we got him, so even after making friends, we have to watch him...he still gets rilled up..he'll eventually settle in, I hope....
