Ant I brought him home friday and is doing good he gets an attitude when he wants to go back into the cage but its funny. I didn't get to play with him as much as i wanted to yesterday i had to go to a friends college basketball game she plays division 1 basketball but i will have some more updates over the weekend when he gets more acclimated to his new home

Great that he's home at last. Just take one day at a time, don't try rush things like playing with him just yet.
Top on your list, a visit to an avian vet is a must. Let the Rocky be checked over, peace of mind for a healthy bird, as well as having the beak seen to.
Your bird Rocky must have time to settle down and adjust. Just imagine how many new things the bird has encountered. So many new faces and voices, it must be so scary.
To gain your trust could take days, weeks, months even years. Each and every bird is so different. He obviously feels a comfort zone is his cage.
Sit near Rocky' cage, talking and singing to the him. Let him become familiar with your voice. Leaving the cage door open, offer him treats through the bars at first. When he willingly accepts them, try placing a treat near the open door. Eventually he will starts taking the treats from the door, make no attempt to touch him. When he does come out, he will probably climb around on the cage. Let him explore in his own time. To get him back in, place a treat inside the cage, making sure it's visible.

For the diet Harrisons pellets are recommended. As well as fresh fruit and veggies, and some plain nuts.

ya i visited him alot at the bird store that i got him from before i brought him home and if i open up his cage he'll just come out he loves being out of his cage he was the same way at the store and trying to get him in the cage is chore he's a stubborn guy when it comes to getting him to go into his cage and i had him out only to put the finishing touches on his cage but i did wat u said and sat there next to his cage talking to him and he sits in his cozy and kinda makes a purring noise like a cat lol

He's not purring LoL He is responding to our voice and trying to talk back, that's how they start out.

well it sounds like purring to me lol hahaha but he can say "babybird" which he picked up at the store and thats what they called him lol but when he talks its really high pitched and loud

thats when Rocky purrs its when he is in his cozy hut which the bird store let me have which was awesome cause i was gona ask if i could buy it off of them cause he was used to that cozy hut and thought it would help him acclimate better to his new home but they let me have it for free lol

Rocky is doing awesome he is actually really quite except for when i take him out he makes clicking noises and when he is in his cozy in his cage he'll make a purring noise like a cat but wat i noticed today is that he takes the pellet food i give him and takes it over to his water dish and dips the pellet into the water and then eats it lol. but i love the little guy he will fall asleep in my sweatshirt pocket on the front and when he is playful he'll run back and forth between the openings. Umm today i gave him a shallow dish to take a bath in and boy did he make a mess he was flapping his wings and just really enjoying himself.

ROCKY HAS LEARNED A NEW WORD!!!!!!!!!! LOL he woke me up today saying Rocky so now he switches between saying "baby bird" and "Rocky".

hey everyone i havent been on here for awhile ive been busy busy busy. I thought i give a little update on Rocky. First off Rocky will not keep quite especially in the morning he just carries on saying the different words he knows. Thats another thing he has a good vocabulary going. Rocky knows how to say baby bird, big bird, rocky, no, come here, kuku bird and whats up. also when i say come here no matter where he is at he'll come to me.
