Rest in peace, my little baby

I hoped that I'd never have to post in this section of the forum, but it happened.

I lost one of my little baby quails today. He was only a week or two old, and he was acting fine for as long as we had him; then yesterday his health took a turn for the worst. I left to go to the store, and when I came back... I found him laying on his stomach doing what looked like gasping for each breath. I picked him up, and I held him close to my chest. He perked up slightly, so I put him back down. He laid right back down. I nudged him a little bit, and he fell to his side. His legs outstretched behind him, and he ever so suddenly croaked. He died right in front of me. It was so sad to watch.

I hope he has a special place reserved for him in heaven. He was such a sweet little baby.

I'm so sorry to read of your loss. Its horrible to witness such a thing and quails are such beautiful little birds. I too hope there is a special place in heaven for him

Oh Parrotqueen I am so so so sorry for your loss.
I have been through it, very heartbreaking, at least you were there, to hold and love his before his last breath.
Rainbow Bridge is a bright place for taking in another bird.
