I sat down to eat lunch...Red was on the opposite side of the chair hanging out. I turned around for a minute to say something to Jeanne and turn back around to find a macaw right in my face waiting for me to give him food:52:

I never would have guessed he could be so sweet! He can still get a little testy occasionally but it isn't bad when directed at me now.

I have to make him up some more toys again. Shredder stuff to try and distract him a bit. The foot toys are being destroyed so have to make those up too for him!

I've been trying to decide on what cage I would want for him even though the adoption isn't final yet. Not a bad idea to plan ahead right I know I can fit a really big cage right now but I actually don't like the double cages since the middle divider area drives me crazy...the shelter has one and its a pain to clean. He has a super long tail so he definitely needs a pretty tall one. We have a couple at the shelter I like and are quite big that I think might work well enough. Would be nice to get him an aviary type setup in the future...when I buy that house I want!
