WOW Julie! They are both changing so much! Ravens blue color reminds me of a peacock lol. Is he somewhat iridescent? And Griffin is going gray You must be cleaning a whole lot of feathers at your house right now!
Some of Raven's blue is kind of irridescent. It's his head and neck that remind me of peacock color. The darkest part on the front is flat dark blue and actually has a dark green part closer to the body. Undersides of flight feathers and tail are bright turquoise.
Yes... TONS of feathers!!
A couple weeks ago, I was horrified to find a pile of feathers on the floor directly under where Griffin was sitting. I'd never seen SO MANY feathers fall out in one sitting (on ANY bird I've ever owned). Truth be told I was a bit concerned, but then it was only that one day where it was 'extra'. Funny how his feathering is SO thick, that he never looked patchy, even after that 'explosion'!
OH I know.. It's definitely hilarious. I don't know if I'll ever get used to that pic without laughing. That one definitely goes with the fids 'all time best' pics!!
Actually Griffin is the "funniest" parrot I've ever met or had. I'm not kidding, that guy is a real comedian. He just does hilarious "things" all the time. It's hard for me to catch on video though.
He's doing his version of the Jean-Claude van Damme truck ad....his legs....HAHAHAHHAHA!!!!
LOL! Wow, that's quite an ad http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=7cbVFQP4y2U I read the stunt is real, but he was connected to safety lines, and platforms for his feet.
