Ducky has been doing this for the past two hours here on my shoulder. It's not her usual sleepy beak grinding. She has been doing it frequently the past few days. Anyone have any idea what it means? [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhHf0K1Y-To&feature=youtu.be"]Ducky - YouTube[/ame]

Could you post your video on a different site without having to download? I feel unsafe downloading something online especially with something I don't know about.

By the way beak grinding usually means they're content or tired.

Yes sorry, I agree. I was trying to figure out how to do that. Can you see it? I changed the link above.

Can't view it on your Facebook either! Post it either to photobucket or YouTube if you can.

Mikey is right. That is what they do when they are content or tired - they can also do it when they are resting. Skittles will do that often when sitting on his play stand with one talon wrapped around the back of his head.

EDIT: Sometimes they also do this if they are chewing on something or just exercising their beak. I see nothing to be concerned about. He just looks very relaxed.

Ok thank you. She doesn't do this very often. It's usually the slow beak grinding. So I was a bit concerned.

As any parent would be. :)

They tend to do it more in the evening. It's sort of a way to get settled in for the evening. Like how we humans will sit and relax in the evening.

Ducky is so precious!! What a cutie!!!
