Question

Hey mate, there are some people that are concerned about aresnic levels in the rice.. i personally have fed rice to all my conures over the past 12 years and have never had a problem. I personally wouldn't feed white but would replace it wuth brown or wild rice..
I only fed rice every 2nd day, the other day wassprouted seed or a good seed mix,
the bulk of the food was fruit and veg.
The diet i used for my breeding conures was slightly different from my companion sun.
My pet sun gets:
Kaytees pellets ( only because its either kaytees or wambaroo here in nz)
Diced apple, pear, banana
A berry mix, depending on whats in season.. unfortunately due to it being winter here ive had to resort to frozen berries.
Corn on the cob
Capsicum
Chilli peppers ( not the incredibly hot ones)
I also feed frozen mixed vegetables ( peas, corn, carrots) and cooked rice or sprouted seed,
And on the odd occasion i feed a little chicken or cheese

I rotate the veg and fruit as to keep things interesting

Just make sure your bird is getting plenty of exercise as not to pack on the pounds..
