Hello. Just got my first bird, a 3 month old IRN baby one week ago. I’ve noticed he’s missing feathers on both legs maybe 1cm in length and the skin there looks pinkish in color. It runs some length up both legs but I couldn’t get a good representative photo. He’s been preening often but not pulling any feathers out but I notice him picking at that area of his legs occasionally. I can’t really say if it was like that when I got him as I just noticed it a few days ago. Is it cause for concern or normal for a baby? He’s got a large cage, lots of toys, getting lots of attention, and doesn’t seem stressed.
