So, I gave the Beaks an enormous cuttlebone and they ate it within five minutes.

Blast! This would've lasted the Lovies for ages and Dominic the Galah forever.

What should I be giving the Beaks to groom their bills and claws on???

Actually cuttlebone is normally offered as a ready source of calcium, especially by nesting hens......it's a take-off from mineral & salt licks/blocks, however, some birds enjoy pulverizing them...much like chewing up wooden blocks.....although you may have intended the birds to use them for grooming tools, that's not their intended design.....really, they're too soft for that & would be easily destroyed as grooming tools.....

I got some pedi safe perches off ebay, they don't seem to do much for my conures nails (too light), but work well for the Alex and keeps everyone's beaks all nice.
