Pritti (Cherry-Head Conure) -- Fly in Peace my beautiful boy. Forever I'll love you.
Oh my heavens... so many meds/potions to administer.
He's snuggled in and asleep, and I'm FRIED ! Anyone know a birdie home health/visiting nurse service?

Herbal concoctions that have to be mixed each time I give them twice a day.
1. for liver
2. for ascites
3. for seizures

Plus twice a day.
4. cardiac liquid "tonic"
5. liquid diflucan (just til the 27th)

Plus
6. 2 injections a day antibiotics.

Oh shame poor Pritti
Look on the bright side, Pretti is home for Christmas with his loved ones
Sure you will manage, I know Pretti is in capable hands
Wishing Pretti a speedy recovery
In my thoughts and prayers

What great news! I'm so happy for you that he's home :)

Good luck with all the potions and injections! Yikes!

That is wonderful news. So glad that Pritti will be home for the holidays. Hope he is feeling much better and that Santa finds him and spoils him lots.

Yay!!!!! Pritti is home BUT I don't envy you giving all that meds and stuff.....

Pritti is so blessed to have you as his earth mother.

What a wonderful Christmas gift to have him home again! Wishing Pritti a speedy recovery.

Wonderful news! I'm sure he's glad to be home, too :)!

Just in time for the holidays :) it's a lot of meds, yes. Try to stick to a time-schedule with them, that way they become a routine. It makes it a little easier. I'm very pleased to hear he's in good hands :) Merry Christmas Pritti!

Thanks so much for the update, WannaBe! We've all been worrying about little Pritti and his illness. Thank goodness he's on the mend and home again, where he can get the best loving care. Don't let all the potions worry you - they mean your little birdie will be well again in no time (and the time will fly, as it always does). I'm so happy your Pritti is home with you again and send kisses to both of you. :)

I am SO happy Pritti is home with you again!!! I am confident you will manage to administer all those tinctures and meds. :)

HUGS to both of you!!!!!

WooHoo!! He's FINALLY home. Yup, you sure would be FRIED!!....have a drinky poo that your sweet bird is finally home.

9 times to medicate a bird daily is insane(if I'm reading that correctly) YIKES!

I had a hard time with 4 times per day with Num Num.

my heart goes out to you Kaycee!....here's hoping he will improve with all of those concoctions.
Beth

@Beth - Luckily the schedule is 3 times a day for the meds since a few are given at the same time. It's amazing how snuggly he gets after the toweling... you'd think he would hate me, but all he wants to do is cuddle.

Thanks everyone. Pritti and I send our hugs and kisses and pecks to you all.
Happy Holidays.

Happy holidays to you and Pritti!!!!! I'm just glad Pritti is home with you for the holidays. :)

Aww, Priitti is soo cute! Even if he is a little bald on the outside. I love his coloring!
Wow, your lucky. Kiwi HATED me after I gave him his meds, and he only got it once a day! Luckily he soon lived with his fate and just stopped fighting, but that first week.. Gah!
