Post A Pic Of Your Macaw

Loving these pics! Argh I want a macaw lol!! :)

I will, and then he can come home with meeeee :D Hahahaha.

u have good looking birds my friend....i love ur scarlet macaw..if u didnt know i have one also... lol
Hey MacawGuy, thanks for the compliment, but I just care for them; God made them pretty. The thing you gotta do is ENJOY them and take them out in public. You in Indiana can actually go out during the day with them where the sun is not 3 "F"-stops brighter than it is here and the birds would cook. I gotta wait until almost dark before I can take them to the beach

I'd be so afraid of someone trying to "birdnap", or if the birds tried flying away! Have you ever had any scares like that? Hopefully not, but I'm curious still...

No I have never had anyone try to take them from me, but then I have never been anywhere where there were not a lot of people. If they tried to take my Scarlet they would look like Pac-Man with a chunk out of them. I have had a couple of really weird people come up to me over the years. One last week said I shouldn't be putting Kayko on people's arms because they carry a lot of diseases. Years ago another weirdo said I needed to release them into the wild. All my birds have a 10 feather trim. I would never THINK of taking them out if I thought there was any way they could fly. My worst scenario ever was I had my back to the ocean and a big wave came up with Clifford on my shoulder. Cliff hopped off into the surf and got all wet and sandy. That was probably 6 years ago. I am out every weekend with the birds and Kayko has been on the arms of thousands of people. I can bet there are more Facebook pictures of him on people than any bird in history. That is a lot of exposure and instances I have never really had a bad one. I can see where maybe women would feel a little vulnerable, but no one is going to get my birds away from me over my dead body.

AWESOME pictures, guys! I love those Scarlets! It's the type of parrot that always comes to mind when I think/hear "parrot". Never gets old! :)
