So, poop/farts bother me (so scratch that off the comments below, it my issue and no I don't have kids lol).

With Yoda, it seems like he saves it for when he climbs onto the door of his cage. I will talk to him for 15mins (inside the cage), no poop, but then once out he drops the load. Of course I have to clean this up. Maybe he likes seeing this?

He's a shy bird to begin with, and I hate dragging him into his cage (he's shy and it feels like his personality is always like: "sorry, for what I did").

He likes to keep his house clean! Perfect time to designate a poop perch outside the cage (have paper below) and potty train your buddy. Say POOP right before he does it, before long he will associate the word to the action. Rewards with lots of praise and attention when he gets it.

My Grey is pretty well trained in the poop department, you say "Make a poopie!" and he'll usually do it right away, sometimes you need to say it a few times. He says it on his own too (sometimes as he's pooping.)

I got very lucky with my previous GCC who never pooped on me, but I also got her in the habit of putting her on a perch or somewhere safe to poop, and waited until she went to pick her back up. I never used a word with her but I always said "Good girl" after.

Still working on my cockatiel but I'm hopeful! A friend's Nanday would also only poop outside his cage, usually stuck his butt right outside and let one loose, but he also pooped on puppy pads because he learned that's what the dogs do, go figure!
