My biggest concern with that is if they get lost, in that weather, they are dead.

Well recalled birds USUALLY come back 90% of the time + if they are bonded. But if they don't you have to go track them down. I've had to do this at least 8 times with my own birds when I was free flying them...

I no longer free fly.

Yeah, I was thinking that too (lost=freeze), I'll stick to the harness and 60 foot lead (cut to Joe running behind mac with leash in hand)

With the 'male sign smileys' it kind of bewildered me to be honest :52:.
I thought, if he's trying to tell us he's a boy, he would have just said it directly wouldn't he?? Then I went searching the last couple pages to make sure I didn't miss anything.

It was a matter of principle, I can get DNA sexing for $14.99, What they do is DNA all the birds (they get it done for next to nothing because they get a discount for x number of birds) and then when you buy one they ask if you want the DNA (even though they already did it) When I said no they were shocked and kept trying to get me to pay for it, We heard all of the girls that worked there keep referring to our baby in masculine tense BUT we had to be sure

Its not like I'm cheap, we visited our baby like seven times (120 miles each way) and brought two dozen donuts for the staff and Starbucks Double shots EVERY time, Not to mention Italian meats & cheeses for the owner Eric, so yeah I didn't think $40 was a fair markup....

He does have some good prices though, like he sells the Goldenfeast in 11 pound bags with free shipping, they use Madagascar Delite & Caribbean Bounty raising the Macs, so I am still using it for the time being

Got ya, That makes sense I resisted them all the way on the DNA, even though I knew I would have to mail it out if they didn't "do it" knowing it was already done so I kept a hard line and got it down to 25 I think I would have to look at the receipt I don't like paying full price for anything I guess blame my Pops for that he was always looking for a better deal, Most people call me Crazy but my give name is Chris. So is this guys name or were you being serious with the RUMPELSTILTSKIN comment....I kinda like it.
