I have been floating around this forum since it started and I loved all the good info. Now after I signed up, FRANKLY YOU GUYS HAVE BEEN SOOOOOOOOOOOO MEAN TO ME!!!!!!!!!!! I thought this was a good forum so I'm very very very sad that I have to deal with these trolling people MAYBE I JUST ASKED ABOUT THE MODERATOR AND SENIOR MEMBER QUESTIONS BECAUSE I WAS CURIOUS so this is why I'm leaving this forum and finding one that is actually nice to me and I'm sorry to write this thread but you guys caused me to. The only people I have to thank are ann and antoeionette. GOOD BYE and I am leaving with my dignity, my Palm cockatoo on one shoulder and my Lutino parakeet on my other one. So good B-Y-E

No one caused you to do anything. The decisions you make are based on your choices. It's called free will. Kinda curious though as to why you are so angry. You have been a member for only 5 days. What is really sad is to see such behavior. I am wondering at your age, having 4 children it reminds me of a tantrum, with a bit too much drama. I am sure no one here is forcing you to leave. From my experience when you are rewarded with a higher position its because you've earned it. Don't force it... I for one would rather gain knowledge from someone who expresses maturity, wisdom, and a willingness to share what they have learned. Take a deep breathe and relax. Nothing done here by anyone caused a life altering experience. Just saying.

I'm sorry if people were acting in a rude or hurtful manner, but you have to remember, this is the internet, everything is in emotionless text. Unless someone goes out of the way to bold certain sentences or word things a certain way, you really have no way of knowing how the tone of something was written... Someone who may have appeared rude to you, may have been trying to be helpful or pleasant.

People on here tend to be rather helpful and nice in general, I would take a look at your own behaviour before labelling people as rude or mean.

I haven’t been active on the forum for a week or so, so I haven’t even read any of your posts or topics, so my opinion is completely unbiased.

It’s bit sad to see someone leave in such a huff, but if this is the way you’re going to act without even an attempt to resolve the situation first, the forum may be better off.

I’ve never been one to act mean or rude to some one but seriously, acting like this is incredibly immature.

A forum is a place to exchange information and opinions, you can't expect everyone to agree with your views... and you can't expect to label them as rude or mean for not agreeing with you.

I take pics of my own birds, so people can see what MY birds look like, not what the species look like...

I also found it interesting that he didn't want to say where he lived... I mean - the world is a big place - and saying America (which he gave away anyway), is not going to land people on his door step...

I think it would have been interesting to hear about his cockatoo - like we hear about MareMillers - but obviously that's not to be... in fact he didn't tell us anything about his beautiful Palm Cockatoo...

I have read through your last thread, and I can see no evidence of a Member being mean to you!! All I can see is light hearted humour I think you have looked on their comments in a different light to the rest of us!

We have alot of good humoured Members on the forum, which is what helps to keep it a happy community

I have read through all your threads, at no time was anyone nasty or mean to you.
Each and every member, including yourself has their own opinions.
When given, take it or leave it, with a pinch of salt. Understanding the humour as well.

What I do not understand is, first of all, you pm'd me, about becoming a Moderator, I replied back immediately. If I am correct, you pm me 3 times. I did mention to you, it is a long procedure, and will not happened etc etc. You then asked about being a helper, I again replied, via pm.
Whilst I was replying to your 3rd pm, you then began the thread about becoming Moderator or helper.

Why begin a thread, when you knew all the facts.

Believe me, being a Moderator is not an easy task, pleasing everyone all the time, in order to have a friendly forum running smoothly.

Members pm Mod's, complaining about certain threads, a comment made by a certain member.
Why did we do this, why did we not do that?
The list is endless.

It takes a mature, understanding individual, to fulfill the duties.

Be mature about your decision, pertaining to leaving the forum.

My sentiments exactly Ant!! Being a Mod is also about being able to take the rough with the smoothe !! If we were to take offence everytime someone upset us, we would have left the Forum many times :11: Yikes!! LOL

This is so very true. I've been called rude and mean as of late, so you could be referring to me. But I don't think I have ever responded to any of your threads or post. But if I have and you found any of my responses to be rude or mean, I'm sorry for that. I try to be as honest and to the point with my responses as possible and sometimes I can come off as being blunt, mean and apparently rude.

I see 2 things that are jokingly offensive... But obviously joking. However, there was one recent post questioning his ownership, etc. that is rude. It's a shame he took offense. I read the threads and excluding one post laughed at the whole thing. Some people cant take a joke But no one on here should take any real offense. You've been nothing but welcoming, esp. moderators. But now I wish I had more emoticons

Personally I think he has left our forums due to the fact Antoinette said no to him when he asked for a moderator spot you don't just get things handed to you in life you have to earn them and a moderator spot is no differant you need to earn it
