Please pray for my nephew

This must be so frightening for the parents, having a child so young sent home with no answers, there in the back of their minds always wondering if this could happen again. I hope someone gets to the bottom of this problem soon.

The real frightening thing as my brother mentioned, what if Kyle had stopped breathing while he was sleeping.
Nikita is the "hero" she first noticed that Kyle was not breathing.
Hopefully a second opinion will reveal whatever the "problem" is.

That's such good news! I know from personal experience how terrifying it is, especially when they send you home with no answers. But at least he'll be home. Big hugs from your forum family here in Texas.

Thank God, Kyle seems okay and is back in routine at home. :rollingba Doing all the normal things 18 month old kiddies do. They went for a second opinion today, unfortunately they were unable to find the cause of why Kyle stopped breathing. It seem the entire medical team, have never dealt with a medical "problem" like this before. We were told to keep an eye on Kyle.
The parents are doing everything possible, to make sure the twins are healthy and safe. :rollingba:rollingba

One thing I have learnt besides learning about our birds on this forum, everyone cares about each other on a personal capacity, we all have a "family" within the forum. :grl: :63: :61:
Something to treasure forever. :smile015:

Thanks for the update Antoinette.

If I were Kyle's parents my thoughts would probably be somewhere along these lines: Surely a child doesn't stop breathing for no apparent reason, could he in fact be suffering from a rare condition that none of these doctors have yet encountered? I'd probably also be asking myself: If this is so why do these other children apparently have the same condition? My conclusion would have to be: Well it's either something contagious or there is a joint factor (perhaps environmental) going on here. Surely the doctors have all been asking themselves this and pondering over additional questions and answers.

I continue to pray for these children and their families.

Man, Im sorry to hear that, My hubby and I will keep ALL of them in our prayers.

I hope to hear that everyone ends up well.

Glad to hear he is home. Too bad they couldn't find the cause, I pray that they do, so that the poor parents can know what they are dealing with. At least that would provide a little peace of mind for you all (and your extended forum family:)).

mpw thanks for your prayes !!! ;)
We have thought of all the above and asked so many question, still no answers.
All the necessary tests have been done, with results showing everything is normal.
At the moment all we can do it keep a constant eye on the twins, pray and have faith in the Lord.

Hi Antoinette. I am so glad that he is back home, our hospitals are so worrisome these days!

It is sorry that they dont know what is wrong, I can imagine how that must work on the family. How on earth do you sleep without worrying that something will happen - ah my prayers are still with them.

You mentioned that Tyler was also getting sick, is he ok?

Hey there, thanks for all your support wildheart ;)
Tyler has a touch of the flu, almost over it, thank goodness.
They hardly sleep each night, taking turns to check. I told them to get a breathing monitor (but again do they work all the time)
That's our biggest worry, what if someone is not nearby and it happens again.

I feel the same way about many of the members I've had the great pleasure to become aquainted with in my short time here Antoinette, I'm so very relieved that things are on the possitive track to recovery for Kyle, only goes to show you can never underestimate the power of prayer :)

So very sorry to hear about your nephews troubles! What a terrible thing to happen! I can well imagine the amount of worry you are all going through - and the fact that the doctors can't figure out what's wrong makes it much, much worse. I don't think a breathing monitor will with a child, they are terribly uncomfortable (I suffer from apnea and have to have sleeping tests done periodically). Maybe a regular monitor (the kind that parents use to listen to their babies in another room) put very close to the baby's head and set at the maximum volume would work. They are not that expensive and worth a try, I would think. I don't pray but I will keep you and your family in my thoughts.

We have tried the baby monitor already, Kyle thinks it's a toy. No matter where we place it, even after he has fallen asleep, he finds it. "clever boy" Sad thing, we have used the baby monitor for both of my parents, when they were ill with cancer. Both have since passed on.
Thank God Kyle seems fine. :60:

Ah thank God it is only flu! A persons mind do funny things in situations like this - we even see things that is not even there.

You must share a photo of the two when you have some time. ;)
