Please please help; I'm really worried...

Hi,

About 2 hours ago I noticed that there was flicks of what looks like vomit on the wall next to where rosie was, and so i assume she has vomited . since then she has been sitting very quietly fluffed up leaning against her toys with eyes closed and yawning. she has sipped some water and had small nibbles of pear, but wouldn't touch her favourite treats.

I have called every emergency vet in central london and the surrounding areas and none have an avian specialist that are available. I have to wait until tomorrow morning to call the avian vet and im really freaking out that she will get worse over night.

I don't know if i am worrying over nothing but she definitely doesn't seem normal.

Is there anything that I can do tonight that will help? I'm really scared to go to bed and leave her in case anything happens :(

Any help would be so appreciated.

Thank you

Jess

All we can do is keeping them warm and hydrated . Get to a vet as soon as you can [important with keeping them warm.] Find additional heat source.

thank you for replying. I have put the heating up and am putting a hot water bottle near her.

she just flew from her perch to me, then did a small vomit, then had a little bit of grape and then flew back to the perch and is asleep with ruffled feathers. should i be very worried?

Jess, I'm sorry you couldn't get Rosie an appointment sooner. Vomiting is a symptom of so many possible causes it's hard to say. Keeping her warm and quiet is about all you can do. It's a good sign she feels like flying and eating a little bit, but that can be deceiving, birds are very good at hiding symptoms. Is there anything out of the ordinary that she could have ingested recently?

Yes ,shes sick [a vets a must].
