Jess pm me, Unfortunately lil ANT did not make it.

Jess thinks it could have been that she changed the brand of cat food, that she was using.

At least lil Ant was loved and cared for in his time of need.

You did everything you could. So sorry it wasn't a happy ending but lil ANT wouldn't even have survived as long as he did if you hadn't found the little guy.

Your best bet is to find an experienced bird rehab in the area. Diet is very important for development. Strict cat food without roughage is not the best diet. In the wild swallows often get things with wings and legs attached especially when they grow older. Also training swallows to feed on flying insects as they mature is definitely a skill for the experienced. You are doing your best of course but check with the rehabbers in your area.
