Please help me figure out what I've done wrong.

Eurgh..... Its been 5 days and I've been bitten hard every day with blood drawn 3x so far.

How long does this normally last?

Tonight, I was doing some target and trick training. The targeting went well, treating him was absolutely fine. Then we moved on to spinning, went fine, asked for a hand shake and he nailed me. Hard. I now have a lovely blood blister because he couldn't break the skin. He then flew to my shoulder and hubby had to remove him. He was put to bed an hour ago.

Tango was like this off and on for a couple of months. It gets easier, I promise :).

Well...i feel better knowing its not just me enduring albie's bites. While I was at work apparently albie bit hubby's lip. I don't know how or why, but thank goodness he didn't draw blood!

I'm finding it really hard not reacting to his bites when they really hurt. I'm sporting a pair of lovely red welts on the back of my hand From his handy work. I'm trying to remain calm and put him in time out but it doesn't seem to work. He was put to bed at 6:45 this evening and I feel guilty because he's only had an hour with me but the biting was getting too much, I didn't know what else to do.

How can I give him the quality time and socialising and interaction he needs if all he is going to do is bite and bite hard?

I never accept bites like a crash dummy! A "No Bite!" and a return to the nearest chair back for a 1 min time out is not out of line, even during puberty. My opinion. UNLESS you were warned about an impending bite and chose to ignore the message. That one is on you.

I forgot to add that I am doing time outs and telling him no bites.

Dont worry about it Stitch, I went through the same thing with Connie. I let her have her own way for most of the time. I did a lot of soft speaking to her,and it was at that time that I learnt her body language more intimately. She bit hubby really hard drawing blood about 3 times, so he now doesnt touch her! She bit me a lot more than that, drawing blood,it really hurt my feelings. But they do look so sorry for themselves just sitting and not interacting, that you soon forgive.
Thankfully now back to her sweet self. Just ride the storm for now.xx
