So where does everyone keep the cages? I am a night owl and am up till Midnight most nights in the living room. And when I get colds, I sometimes sleep there too, as I cant sleep. Is it better to place cage in quiet room over living room area? I plan on having parrot near me most of day.

Also anyone interact with their birds late at night?

I have 1 of my amazons in the living room and the other along with my caique in the kitchen...we also don't have any set schedule so we sometimes stay up late and sometimes go to bed early... they all seem to to fine with it

I sometimes sleep on the sofa in the living room and that's where my Amazon's cage always was

Once covered and going to sleep he Never (or very very rarely made a sound)

Even in the morning, because we are night owls he would never really wake up before us, I would peek under his cage cover and he would be sleeping soundly even past 10 AM

There is not a lot of noise in my home, it tends to be very calm around here so its not like the bird was bothered by constant parties or kids running back and forth

So I guess the point is in my case anyway my bird learn to fit into our family schedule

EDIT: So YES the bird will learn to be with you and have fun late at night As long as you keep the room dark in the morning so he/her can get the needed sleep
