Picasso is...still sick

Stormy-
I just gotta say…. I am so very impressed with you and how you are handling this situation! Many adults would have given up facing the obstacles you are. But there you are fighting for your beloved birdies. You are in a Difficult situation- your dad not understanding, “we have lives too”? Don't be too judgmental on that- it is a mindset for many people that dont have deep connections with birds, dogs..animals. They just dont comprehend the effort, cost, emotion that goes into it, and it just seems useless, or a waste of energy, resources to them.
I am sending out tons of positive prayers, energy (whatever you prefer) that you and your little Picasso are going to turn the corner with the medication difficulties, and the Picassos health is restored- rapidly!!!!
But Kuddos Kiddo!!! You are kicking butt with your efforts at this

Aww, thank you! She's doing well on the meds, but the others have also gotten an RI, so I emailed the vet to see if I can treat them all.

This was my fear. If one bird in a cage or room has an infection, likely all have it. I hope you can medicate their water to treat the problem.
I hope so too

Oh Boy! Hoping you can find an easy fix here!! Hope hope hope!!!
My dad is going to the vets to get new meds for the other birds.

this is seemingly more and more likely to be chlamydia. I hope the vet might consider doxycline, and have treat everyone's water. Thus was the best solution when my budgies were sick

How is the flock doing? Need an update on your beautiful feathered children!

I'm doing more frequent updates on my thread, The Ins, Outs, and Upside Downs of Budgie Parenting.

Little Picasso is doing well, and the vet prescribed stronger meds which are helping a lot!

Might as well do an update here, since I don't really want to update the other thread...

I ran out of the doxycycline I was perscribed by the new vet I went to. Since it's over 2 hours away, the vet said he'd send them to a pharmacy near us. It's been about a day since I ran out, and I'm still waiting or the vet to confirm the perscription. ARGH! Feels like it's taking forever, and the tail-bobbing an heavy breathing is only getting worse!

Hello humans, a thing just happened! I got the meds, a huge bottle, ad they're RASPBERRY FLAVORED!!!!

How is the taste? Did your birds reject it due to taste?
Yes unfortunately it was very hard to administer the medication. This also has to do with their size.
