Well after many attempts I finally sneaked a photo of Peter Pan... she usually turns her back to the camera or flys off but today I got her...if I have no camera she is all over me but for some reason I will never understand she hates the camera. She is the most lovable darling girl who can be both an Angel and a lovable villain all at once :) Here I have her with me while I am about to do some Spring cleaning...her cage is on wheels so its easy just to pull her along with me as I go.

Hi Peter Pan, you beautiful Girl! I'm so glad you got a picture, thank you for sharing:)

Love the Picture. My Macaw is the same way. Pull a camera out and he wants to hide or bite it .

Hee hee arent they characters...she didnt see me take this one as she was captivated by my yellow feather duster in the other hand LoL :)

Peter Pan :) what a cute name. Glad you finally got a shot of the cutie!

Thank you I adore her...she got the name Peter Pan because we thought she was a boy and for years I was sure she was a boy but then last year she presented me with an egg :) :) I wish I could get her used of the camera but now and again I get to sneak a pic :) She doesnt talk much either...just a few words like Hello or thank you or OK and thats the norm for her daily chatter but then every once in a while she chatters away whole sentences that Ive never heard her say before like the other morning I got "Hello how are you" and last night I got " lights off nite nite"...she hasnt ever said those sentences before or since, she has a knack of flooring me and has come out with sentences like this and many others on a number of occasions now and they are so in tune with whats happening some I hear repeated the odd time and always st a time when they make sense others I hear her say just once ...shes a character and a half and I love her to bits :)

She is beautiful! And sounds like quite the charmer!

So cute !!! i like her name :) Im new to the quaker world. I just got a 9 month old blue one and a green one waiting to be weaned :)

Good-looking Quaker! :) When I first got Ralph, he would race around when he saw the camera, so all my first attempts at photographs of him were just pictures of a green blur. :D He'll sit still for a photo now, but would really rather eat the camera.

Thank you. PeterPan is my first and only Quaker. She had a White Eyed Conure called Roger to keep her company up until a few months ago when he passed away and flew to Rainbow Bridge (old age) and now she has a new brother a White Fronted Amazon called Mr Biggles. You are so lucky to have your 9 month old Blue and your green baby coming. Im guessing they will be chatting up a storm to each other in Quaker and human language before long when your new baby arrives. You must be real excited waiting for your new baby to be weaned and come to live with you .

Thank you. Peter Pan used to let me take pics of her when she was little but I think I took too many pics and she got jealous of the camera but she took a dislike to it and turns her back on it mainly or flys off out of my focus hee hee...she will however watch a video of herself on it the odd time Im lucky enough to get one :) She has her own ideas about photo shoots. Ŕalph is a handsome boy too Im presuming thats Ralph in your avator

Oh no Im sorry , I remember your white eyed conure :(

Thanks Roger was one in a million and Peter Pan and I both miss him lots but he did have a long life and almost half of it was spent here happy and healthy to the very last. He was a real character. We got a new brother for Peter Pan a WFA and he is beginning to settle in. He was very ill when he arrived last Jan and according to the vet is very lucky to be alive. He was supposed to have been an aviary bird who lost his mate but the information that came with him was very vague and they havent answered a phone call since so I play things by ear with him and he is proving to be a very interactive character too in his own right cleverly learning things like step up and even starting to do a bit of recall pretty easily...of course he is coming for a treat but even so he has learned to come get his treat which isnt bad for a start . What Is so odd is that he has little or no interest in toys which is just like Roger was when Roger came first too but Mr Biggles as I call him will play with only one toy in the cage which is or rather was Rogers favourite toy. Maybe Roger is his Angel now :)
