Glad to report after mixing the supreme fruit blend with harrison’s for the last couple months Perry is now enjoying the Harrison’s pellets and i think they are the first to be eaten pretty much!

Wish I could find Harrison's here..I've tried Zupreem and currently using Roudybush maintenance mediums with Amy..He does eat them as I find pellet dust in his bowl. I'm at a loss now as I think he is tired of Bird Street Bistro and when I get fresh veggies and different fruit I find the majority on his basement floor..only so much banana I can give him.
Bill...happy to hear Mr Perry is doing so well with you!

Can’t say your aren’t trying Jim! Perry has been trying a bunch of new veggies but the only catch is Dad has to hold it for him. He’s to pretty to get his feet dirty!

I can't find Harrison's in my area also. I get mine from Amazon.

I’m not going to claim that I know the ins and outs of bird pellet marketing, but I did work for a major 4-A Madison Avenue ad agency for two decades. Albeit, not in marketing, but I drank lunch every day...I mean I ate lunch every day...with our head research guy, who made their recommendations on how marketing should proceed. (Marketing and advertising are actually separate disciplines.)

And now that I’ve bored you with that...

Why don’t these companies offer 4 oz. sample packs for sale, not free, so we can see whether our birds will eat the stuff?

Archie isn’t eating his Topp’s, and I’m kind of hesitant to blow 20 bucks a bag on different brands of pellets to see what he DOES like.

OMG, when I switched Sam from seed to pellets it cost me a fortune. The squirrels were very happy however. They got what he didn't eat.

I was lucky with Amy. When he came home with me he was already eating pellets. Kicking myself in the butt for not asking his breeder what KIND they were. His CAV sells Roudybush so I gave them a try and it only took a few days to nosh away. The only place I can get them is at PetSmart in the next town because no pet stores here don't carry them, but I don't mind the twenty minute ride coz Amy usually comes along.

sample size would be a great idea!! Perry has tried a few different ones. Lafebers, tropican, zupreem, and harrison’s so far. if he likes harrison’s i think i will stop right there! I can’t wait to take Perry for a ride to the old pet store! That must be so fun Jim.

Sometimes it is a great idea to quit while you are ahead! :D

I didn’t even think to give it to the birds and squirrels.

What’s crazy is, Archie STARTED on Topp’s (am I spelling that right?) when weaned and was eating it before I brought him home, but I think he got spoiled on the fresh stuff I give him.
