People..

What a great bunch of stories!
I have a short one about condors...
My sainted Grandmother could never get straight what type of bird I had. She was always telling people I had a Patagonian CONDOR as a pet, that it sat on my shoulder, that I'd had it x number of years, that it would sing...
I never EVER could teach her the right name!
Almost everybody I met through her had the same first question: however did you get a Patagonian Condor?????

I'm dying here. A patagonian CONDOR lolololol😂😂😂 Though perhaps your grandmother wasn't all that off from what I've heard of the RB:54:

Oh, lord... if I took the Patagonian Condor to a family event, I'd never be invited again.

Hey, wait a minute...

I would never take my girl to a family event. I'd be hard pressed to.
My grandmother raises dachshunds. It's how I got one. Rocky is well mannered and I trust him.
Hers? I wouldn't trust them with anything. She has several and they have that pack mentality going on. I've seen them rip apart squirrels. Recently she adopted a cat as well. They mostly live outside and come in to sleep, but a couple prized doggies stay in + cat.

If I EVER take her around this family, she'll probably not leave her travel cage until the hounds of hell +cat are corralled into a cage or outside and LEFT there.

He certainly is a handsome guy. How old/how much does he weigh? Life span??

Jim
Thank you. :)

He's about 9 months old now. Lifespan really varies among them it seems. Since they are usually a food item, broad breasted one's are common and they are lucky to live a year or two. Knothead is a standard so should have a much longer lifespan. Which could be anything from 5 years up. I've seen a few make it over 10 years. But kinda like chickens I'd say average is 4-8 years.

He's about 38 lbs right now. He's filled out a bit since that picture was taken.
