Hello
FIRST I Love the Forum and Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and Happy Holidays
My Vet recommended 80% Pellets and 15% fresh vegetables and only 5% fresh fruits.
Moses is 4 years old and for all this time we have been giving him 50% fresh vegetables, 25% fresh fruits and 25% pellets. He loves his Tops pellets about 2 hours before going to his night time cage at 8:30pm. He loves his tops again at about 7am when he first awakes, He usually has Tops pellets in his day time gace all day and only occaionally goes up to have a snack of pellets.
Then he goes to his daytime cage for his fresh vegetables at 8am, 12pm fresh fruits, and at 4pm mix for fresh vegetables and fruits)
I read all the books i can get on Eclectus and the parrot forum as well.
I have read all the materials from Harrisons, Tops Pellets as well as Lafeber.
They of course produce Pellets and they all agree on 80% pellets.
Recently I have been following Bird Vet Melbourne and they do not feed Eclectus Parrots pellets at all from what i can see on their web site. Particulary with the manage Mel Vincent.
I would appreciate any of your personal advice or suggestion, the more I hear the more I learn.
I am a DAV from Vietnam and at 74 years old I do pray Moses will be around here alot longer than I
God Bless
