I wanted a different style perch for Nameliss. I am tired of the wooden ones that she has. She never chews on them. Except for routine cleaning they've lasted years. I have been thinking about this style. But always in past stopped myself. Nameliss loves picking thread apart. But it was on sale. I got two but wisely only used one. I put it in her cage 27Nov24. I removed it 02Jan25. Barely 5 weeks. Note how she picked those middle ends apart. Heck I couldn't even see them until this!

Wow! A bird with a really sharp beak could cut the rope threads and destroy it like yours did! My budgies have rope perches and haven't damaged them but they're wimps!
