Last week was a cold one again, but last we didn't mind because we were in Costa Rica! The weather was perfect! It was the coolest experience to be sitting in the hotel swimming pool and see a Scarlet Macaw fly into a nearby tree. My camera wasn't good enough to catch the picture but a friend I was with got some great pictures of some other Scarlets not far away.
It was a great trip overall. Thanks to technology we were able to get regular updates from our bird sitter so we did not worry about the birds while we were away.
We visited the national park near Manuel Antonio and enjoyed some close up encounters with monkeys and three toed sloths. By far the best way to deal with cold weather!
Thankfully, Texas weather is now back to what it should be and all is well once again.
