I AM ready!!!
This is Joey and Chandler - brought them home at 8 weeks old from the breeder back in January and they will turn 1 year old later this month!!! They haven't known life without each other but somehow, slowly but surely, they are accepting me into their flock . They will fly to me about 25% of the time when I call for them and 100% of the time if they suspect there may be millet involved . Not a fan of hands and don't want to be touched, but love eating from my hand.

Thank you Beak-Beak-Kiss, Angelo and Zazu are gorgeous, and I look forward to following the stories of the rest of your flock as well! These two clowns are Angelo and Zazu. They are part our larger flock along with Commodore Norrington (Norrie) a gcc, Rico the lesser sulphur crested cockatoo, and budgies Hopper & Pistachio.
We have so many stories! But that’s for another time and place. Thank y’all so much for the warm welcome!

Here’s my first and official post! This is a pic of me and my sweet girl, Peep, taking a snooze. She’s got PTSD from being grabbed by a hawk when she was a baby and has become my much-needed and loving, Velcro bird. She’s doesn’t have a cage like the others but roams freely. I love and adore all my birbs but she’s become very special to me and knows when I need her near. They’re truly amazing companions that touch our hearts in a way like no other animal can!November 2021 POTM Contest!!

Oh wow, Noco is stunning, and what amazing progress he's made since landing in your home and in your heart I am so very happy for the two of you, and excited to see your awesome first Contest entry - thank you so much for your submissionOk!! So, Noco and I are excited to enter our first photo of the month contest!
Noco has come sooo far since I adopted him from a hospice patient of mine two months ago. He was anxious and a bit aggressive, did not "step up", and his feathers were ragged as rags.... I'm so so proud of him AND.... We have totally fallen in love. I think of him all the time when I'm not with him, and he now joyfully hangs out with me and on me, chats to my three dogs (he has learned to bark when visitors arrive ) and eats everything. He likes to be outside (he had barely been out of his cage in 31 years when I got him, and never outside) and dances like a maniac as long as it's rock n roll! He likes to sing and throw stuff on the floor for the dogs.
Noco has, in the 2.5 months he has been with me, become the most brave and social guy - he will even step up for visitors! I have no words for how much I love and respect this feathered person. He fills my heart.
Here we are (photo), wearing the same color. I'm attaching a few pix, but the one in for the contest is the first one, of us looking at each other, each of us wearing gold.
Oh, she's gorgeous! I love hahn's macaws especially Emerald! This is our morning walk with humble Emerald, showing off her wings as a preflight check routine.....
