I have a red shouldered macaw that just will not calm down, I rescued it from a bad home about 4 years ago where it was covered basically 24/7 for the best part of 18 months and no matter how much 1 on 1 time I give it I just cannot get it to calm down, sometimes it will be quiete for a bit but if somebody enters the room it will kick off and can be difficult to stop, I am now working all day and there is nobody here now on week days often until 7pm so I feel bad for it and I feel it is only fair on the bird to find it a new home, what I need to know is do you guys think that the right person could calm this bird down or would I be better letting it go to a sanctuary?
