well when i had my ekkies tucker i used to call him , kentucky fried chicken, kentucky for short, or nerd bird. nerd bird because he had all the toys but would rather try to play with the phones, and mimic them and the microwave. he even got out of his cage one day while i was at work. i came home and and first thing i saw on the floor was these little plastic square things. i thought to myself " why in the world are there lego's all over the floor"? and then i was like wait a minute i don't have lego's im 20 years old and looked over, that terd had plucked every single key off the key board! and when i went to pick them up he come running out from under the cage like he was saying NOOOOOO THOSE ARE MIIIIIINE! darlah the female ekkie, didn't have a nickname besides darlah baby.

haha - all great nicknames! :)

One that I also call Zaf quite a bit but forgot to list is "Blue Ziffy" ...keep 'em coming :D

I call Bella and Zora babies, girlies, twinsies, Double Trouble LOL.

Oliver is my Olly Boy, The Green Monster, Olly, and I sometimes call him Rocket because he makes this weird techno rocket blast off type noise. :p

Georgie was often "Madame George" (from the Van Morrison song.....the next time i listened to Astral Weeks after she died, i started sobbing when that song came on).
She was also "Mommy's little chicken".
Gilbert doesn't really have anything other than the "Gilly Gilly Gilly" i call (it's 3 times in the same sing-songy tone.....he seems to enjoy it....) or "Monkey Man".

"The Goose" or "The Green Goose"
Little gooseling
Silly goose
Mr. Beaker Beakingston

Aw, my dog is "Silly Goose".

I call Starburst "the amazing Technicolor dream chicken" :)

Monte is the moody plucked chicken.. cause he plucks from time to time...its been 6 months since his last time...so hopefully he will stop for good...

Seminole is criminal... cause she gets confused saying her name, and says criminal...

Hendrick is blue puff..

Avra is squeaky..

I call Rainbow Rain sometimes I think thats because it's shorter :)

I have a lovebird called Rosey but my mum insists her name is Rosey-apple because she says she looks like a big rosey apple. if that makes sense. She's a pretty big lovebird I think she might be a longfeather.

My lovebird baby is tiny so that's why I called her baby...it was a nickname but it stuck.

I had a Lovebird called Misty who I used to call Ducky. She was cute and reminded me of a little duck. No idea why.

Sometimes I call them monsters (usually when they are being moody), sweetie, sweetpea (i have a lovebird called sweetpea so I don't say this one often to the other birds) cutie, chick chick, chicken, pickle. lol I might actually be mad. :p

Sometimes I call Peaches Mamma bird. She was my first bird and she's just so sweet and I think she's an older bird. She seems motherly lol.

I call Fiji "Boo Bird," or, when he puffs up and gets fiesty, then he's my "Little Chicken Hawk."

If he ever DOES talk, he will probably say Boo Bird before Fiji

Mark was Marcus, Marcus Poopus, Peanut, Sweet Pea, Mark-Mark, Markie-Poo, Markie-Pea, Mee-Nut.
She was named Mark because when I first got her she made a birdy noise that sounded like Mark.

Lucky doesn't have any real nicknames besides Lucks or Luck-Luck.

Don't get me started on the 3 cats & 2 dogs nicknames....

we don't use nicknames that often with the birds..
Zeph usually just gets Zephy, or Zephy Zeph..

Ziggy gets Diggy, or Ziggy Zig, his 'girlfriend' Forest seems to call him "naughty" all the time lol

not that original..

Great thread

I sometimes call Mishka Mishi, or my baby

Listen to the nickname he has given me a nickname LoL

Bandit: Bandita, Ditta, Bainne (pronounced "bonya" - which makes no sense since it means "milk" in gaelic) little bandit, bandit girl, fuzzywuzzy, pretty lady.

As a unit, they are mostly reffered to as "the poultry".
