Her tests results are finally out and they found nothing terrible this time The pathologists and vet who looked at the reports gave shine a clearance. Though I'm told to keep an eye on her and get tests done periodically as she is sensitive and I shouldn't take any risk. For those who are unknown to the matter, ShineTheCockatiel is my first and only rescued bird who was found to be badly infected with a mixed infection and chlamydia. And I'm a 16 year old teenager from a country where we do lack a proper veterinary infrastructure (and ofcourse we do not have even good enough and many general veterinarians). I was no expert in avian medicine, I'm not rich, ....but thanks to everyone on this forum who helped us along... Ellen's knowledge and advises were life to her...thank you soooooooo much EllenD! And thanks to my elder sister who gave me a little part of her savings (Lol....because parents are unknown to the expenses done for shine...be it the food/toys or her vet bills)
In my country, pet birds don't really live a life with dignity and love...but my birdie will- and I'm very optimistic about it
Once again, thank you Ellen and every forum member for being a part of her journey, she's still alive..... and more happy
