I have dealt with weight issues all my life. In January of 2012 I started successfully losing some of my weight. I've gained a few pounds back last year but am determined to get this weight off once and for all in 2014!

I have started a blog to track my weight loss journey and to help keep me motivated and accountable. I am trying to get as many people as I can to come along on my journey with me. The more people that read it, the more motivated I will stay! So check it out if you need to lose weight and would like support and encouragement. Or if you would like to just follow me along my journey to be healthy and fit!

Read my entire story on my blog at: http://blancaweightloss.blogspot.com/

:D You go, Blanca!! And you know I'm not only with you, but behind you 100%!!!

Your blog is just AWESOME, so very inspiring. I have it bookmarked. ;)

This WILL be a successful year! :D

Congrats! A couple years ago I lost 60lbs. This last fall due to illness and laziness I gained back 20, so I'm on a mission to lose 30 to get to my original goal. That's the great thing, you can always get back on the horse.

Wendy - You've been awesome support for me! I love you for it girl! ;)

thekarens - Congrats on your 60lbs! I started in Jan of 2012 and by early 2013 I lost 53lbs but gained 20 back the rest of 2013. Good luck in losing your 30! I hope to lose 47lbs this year. And you are so right, we can always get back on the horse! ;)

I need the weight loss also.....postponed my start to February....Sidetracked to a few projects I need to spend the time on :( But soon :)))))
Where did you find the arm band? Looks like an awesome tool! Does it really help or does the band get in the way???

..... we can always get back on the horse! ;)

Literally...in a couple of weeks.

In the meantime I'll continue to build my stamina in the gym. :32: Can't believe how quickly I lost it. :(

It only takes about 2 seconds to lose it. Last year I was up to riding 65 miles in the Texas sun in August. I haven't ridden for about 3 months and when I got on my bike last week 25 miles was a struggle.

I find it very helpful! I forgot I even have it on. I would highly recommend it. If you know what you burn and eat everyday, it will just help you lose the weight even more! I've used it for a few years now. My old one finally died so the one I got yesterday was the replacement.

No, it doesn't take long to lose any muscle or stamina you build up. We just have to keep at it!

Hi Blanca,
I'm in for the weight loss support. I have 10 year old twins and its to hard to not get anything at fast food places when they do. Over the past 4 years I have gained about 40 pounds. I've never been the healthiest eater so when we adopted Wesley I figured this is the time to change my eating habits. I guess Wesley will have to share his fruits and vegetables with me lol.

I got a Fitbit for Christmas so on 1/2/14 I started my diet and already lost 5 pounds. Hard to believe a small thing you put on your belt lop can help you loses weight. I have back problems so I can't run but I have a goal to walk 10,000 steps a day and haven't missed it yet. I also log all my calories and the Fitbit app lets me know if I go over.

So now it's out there I can't turn back. We'll have to keep each other accountable. Congrats on your 5 pounds :)

I am glad to have you along Birdbrain91! Kids make weight loss tough! I can relate to that one! LOL! Sounds like you have a good start for 2014! Congrats on your 5lbs! Thanks for sharing this journey with me!

I'm with you too. 100% all the way.

My biggest challenge was I don't do breakfast. So my goal for this year is to get into that routine. As I start work early, I just don't feel like eating. But so far I am on track. Hopefully this and exercise will shift those pesky kilos.

Good for you Bundii Girl! I don't always want to eat breakfast real early myself. I find just having a quick bite helps. Like a banana or a yogurt. It doesn't have to be much, just something. I am glad you have been on track and eating your breakfast every morning. Great job!

Oh dear. Can I join in too? I've got rather more to lose than most of you, so it's going to be a long haul. I lost 35kg last year and then put it all back on again. I have to start again! As they say, 'Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels'. It would be great to share stuff with folks here! :)

I'm the opposite I love Breakfast, so that is hard for me. I've been having a frozen Espresso (that I make) and a slice of toast. I was a Starbucks junkie. This way I'm not tempted to go to Starbucks. I'm finding that if I eat every 2 hours my metabolism stays up. The less you eat the slower your metabolism is. It doesn't have to be big just give your body something. In the afternoon Wesley and I share an apple. :)

Breakfast is my BIGGEST downfall. I KNOW how important breakfast is, I KNOW I should have many small meals throughout the day, but it's so very hard for me to put food in my mouth before noon. :(

So I bought Ensure and SlimFast (LOL). Yup, I drink my breakfast. Hey, it's better than only drinking coffee until noon (...and past that). :54:

I would love to have you along Trish. I have a total of 67 lbs to lose. I would like to lose 47 this year! So we can do it together. We all have ups and downs. The important thing is you stay on the up side of things. ;)

That is true Birdbrain, small meals throughout the day is best. Got to keep the metab goin' ;)

I think your breakfast drinks are perfect! :)

Well done!!!! :D I will be following your journey Blanca!

I take my hat off to those who actually want to be fit and do something about their weight, it is a huge accomplishment! :)

I think it is sad, when i see 15 year old girls, who are incredibly overweight, just sitting at mcdonalds, wearing tiny little shorts, tiny singlets, and don't want to do anything about it?

I love that arm band!! :D

I have one of those GPS watches? and it calculates exactly how far you go, heart rate, calories ect!

I was always a skinny little stick kid growing up  I don't think i am super thin anymore, got more muscley and woman looking ;) hahahah

I am 6 foot..
Beginning of last year i was 58kg,, today i am 63kg!

It is all from horse riding, my legs turned into solid muscle! :D

I ride 5-7km a day, and walk about 2km..

I always wanted a bit of abs though  Not huge ones, just tiny bit.. I tried that 30 day ab challenge, but i was too lazy ;) haha

Thanks for the support Tab!! :D Wow, I had no idea you were 6 ft tall! Horseback riding will definitely make you build those muscles. Sounds like you live a very healthy life style. Good for you! :)

I was one of those chubby teenagers. I tried the wrong diets back then and it just made it worse. Live and learn I suppose. It's definitely is not easy.
