New to the forum.

Hi everyone, I've kept parrot types and other birds intermittently since I was 6 years old. I'm now in the process of adopting a 35 year old YN Amazon through Mickaboo which is a great organization and it has been a nice experience meeting people committed to the welfare of parrots. I'm sure I'll meet plenty of people on this forum likewise interested in parrot types and their welfare.

Thanks for the welcome! My adoptee is Gizmo a 35 year old Yellow Nape. An amazing Bird! She (not officially known, but she behaves like a female parrot) has settled in very quickly. Clearly someone's very dear parrot in the past and fostered by a very caring Mickaboo volunteer. When I figure out how to attach a picture I'll post one.
