Hi everyone I had a question in regards to portable heaters. I want to move my birds (2 CAGs,Sun Conure and Parrotlet) into my sunroom and was wondering if there are any safe portable heaters for the winter for them? I am in Canada and our winters can get pretty chilly:(. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx Tammy:grey:

Hi Tammy and welcome to the forum, this question has been comimg up quite a bit lately and the general consensus has pretty much been that the oil filled electric heaters are probably the safest, I don't have one I can recommend, I would however try and measure the room that you intend to use it in so that you can find one that would be adequate, hope that helps, good luck and enjoy your stay :)

Thank you Bob for the welcome and some input on the heaters. I will look for one of those ones and definately measure to find the right one.

Welcome to the forum
bobs answer is great
I use a infared heat bulb designed for lizards or parrot brooders to keep my little guy warm
I hang it above the cage In the spot the bird likes to perch best
cover the other half or so of the cage and your birds should be nice and toasty warm
