Hi folks. This is Salty's latest training video, with almost every trick he knows. Almost. It's long , +15 minutes, and very little wasted time. It was a good session.

I clicked on the video, the very first thing I thought to myself was..."I wonder if he's going to do his laugh?" And that's the very first thing he did!! :04:

First of all... amazing. 2ndly I have a question. Are you giving him part of a pine nut? If so is half or like 1/3?

Yes only 1/3 or less of a pine nut at a time. It's like 2 grams of pime nuts.

Thanks. Today was my 1st day of clicker training bwith Finley and I was breaking them into thirds or fourths. Right now I'm just showing him that a click means treat and using it to step up.

I was saving this one for when I returned with the parrots from the vet--- so NOT disappointed.

The way you work together... is amazing!:smile015:

Thank you for making/sharing etc.

Salty is always ready to learn new stuff too. The big ladder is new and the tune on the piano is also . Before we just hit random notes, now he knows how the tune goes and if he misses a note, he will come back to play it.

I wish I could send the Rb to the Salty Boarding School!
Then again, he'd just back-slide once he came home to Planet Rb.

Salty rules!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amazing salty is so clever

Thats one reason I don't think there is a second parrot in our lives. Salty has a great bond with me, a good bond with my son, and he is improving his bond with my wife, giving her kisses in the AM and starting to let her scratch him a bit. A 2nd parrot would mean less time with Salty and I think that would break his heart. He is so much a part of our fmily now, he is right in the middle of things, with his overhead play chains and hanging boing /feeding bowls. He always eats dinner with us and he can count on us to do his training time every night at 8:45PM, with either me or Geri if i am out of town. Its rare that training timeis skipped forsome reason ( happens oh 5-6 times a year) he acts hurt and is vexed the next day. He knows that every day the sun will rise and that Daddy will spend training timewith him.

That laugh is so ridiculously contageous, im rolling right now!!🤣🤣

What a hoot! We were sitting around and watching some Youtube video, and I put on Salty's latest one and he went crazy, talking to him self and completing the second half of his notorious laugh. We were in stitches laughing at him.
