Hey Von! Just a couple quick pics of my own little Calypso, born July 9 this year (so approximately 4 months old):





She has a bit more yellow showing through than your little Cally-pants I think. Also, she stepped up this morning (to get a treat, but it was a step)! Woohoo!!

Lady's partner has just had a sun conure also called Calypso. Mishka is her lil cutie green cheek! We will all be so confused, I know!!!!

LOL I swear I didn't name this one! She's the Dude's bird, he wanted a mythological name, when he mentioned this one I about choked! Bad enough I have a Mishka, and now a Calypso! Wonder who else I can inadvertantly copy!! (don't think there'll be any more birds for us though anytime soon lol!)

How old is Calypso here? Iago is 6 months at the time of this picture according to my papers and I never remember seeing him with that much green. I am starting to wonder if he might be a little older than the papers state.

LOL which one? The pics I posted are of my bird at 4 months and she has quite a bit more yellow than Von's Sun, who is ~6 months. We were thinking that perhaps the weather (I'm in California, Von is in England) may have something to do with coloring but maybe all birds age differently. *shrug*

Ha that's right. I forgot there are 2 Calypsos roaming around here. I'm up in Minnesota but maybe Iago just changed quick as well. Thanks!

hehe! Yes, I am betting it is because my baby Cally Pants was born in June and therefore only had approx 3 months of sunshine lol. She was also in an aviary but spent more time in the indoor bit where the food and warmth was lol.

It's now really getting chilly here and she started about a month ago!

In saying that, Jupiter in the youtube vid went at the same rate as Cal and it looks sunny there....WHO KNOWS!!! hahaha It matters not, our 3 are adorable <3

I love how individual birds really are. Sure they all "look" the same but it's like I was telling my Dude when we were looking at a Green-cheek at the local Petsmart: it was obvious THAT bird wasn't MY Mishka. A parront just knows their fids.

But yes, ours are definitely the prettiest, bestest Suns out there. And no one can convince me otherwise!

I tell ya what, My KiKi is THE most SWEETEST little gal in the universe! LOL, except for your girls, I'm sure. LOL. Honestly, though, She could sit on my finger in front of my face and be kissed and have the back of her head and back caressed FOREVER! We are ALL so crazy in LOVE with her, including my Grey, Maui, who has friend for life with her! Oh yeah, she's quite pretty too.
