Aaiah, a male Eclectus, solomon Isalnds
Remi- Female Timnah African Grey
Good morning everyone! I wanted to introduce myself. I am Asaiah's mom, he is a 5 month old Eclectus Parrot fromthe Solomon Islands.:green2:

We are so in love with him it is hysterical! We have a 7 year old son and we bought our bird as a companion not only for all of us. But especially for him, he wanted a pet so bad to love. Unfortunatly, he is too allergic to dogs and cats. But luckily, him and Asaiah are big buddies! I am here to learn all I can from other owners. So far we have him on a very healthy diet and he is already startign to "vocalize" ( I dont know what you call it in the bird world) He is very vocal and will mock or repeat my laugh, which is hysterical. We live in the south, and so soon we will be able to put his flying harness on and take him for walks with us. He loves to be wherever we are!:green2::green2:

We also have an African Grey and they are very curious of each other. Which is very funny to watch. We are just in the "socialization" stage, and taking that very slowly. :)

Welcome to the forums! So glad you joined us! This is a very sweet introduction. Asaiah sounds wonderful and it's so nice he and your human son are forming a bond, the beginning of a long, happy journey together.

How long have you had your grey? We'd love to see pics of both your birds. Here's a link if you need it.

Hello and Welcome to you and Asaiah's! Sounds like you have a great life together ahead of you. So glad your son is bonding with him as well. I'm also wondering how long you have had your CAG.

And of course, like everyone else, I would love to see pics of your fine feathered friends! :D

Welcome to the circus! Isn't it funny, the further south you go, the more northern it becomes!

lol Thank you Scott, I studied out different breedd with my family in mind. We love to walk and be outside, so i wanted a bird that I could train on a harness or whatever you call those things. We call it his flight suit. LOL But all threee of us are big talkers. So our birds are already "talking" our TAG just started whistleing back to me on her part of the Andy Griffith Show. LOL She is Remi and is only 1 1/12 She is SMART. And, my Ekkie wants to "keep up" with her so he has started making more sounds. They are so very different. But they get along. I work from home a lot, so my desk is right in the middle of the room where their cages are. As a matter of fact, Azaiah is sitting on my shoulder as I type this. LOL :green2::green2:

You are probably susceptible to a life-altering event known as MBS. Multiple Bird Syndrome results in the acquisition of varied species of parrots, and on occasion can burst out of control! :D
