New Member in Washington

Hello,
My name is Shannon. I have had birds for ages but just recently stepped up to a Goffin Cockatoo. We are interested in adding a B & G Macaw to our family. I have heard mixed things about this. Does anyone have this combination or know anything about this? Our Goffin is about 9 years old. We just adopted her this last December. We love her and she is quite the character. She is warming up very nicely although she does prefer me.
Hope to get to know some other bird owners.

My B&G came first then we added Lesser Sulfur Crested Cockatoo a year later. They see each other everyday, but do I trust them together? Absolutely not! You just have to handle them separately unless they like each other, even then you still have to keep an watchful eye. Welcome to the forum!

B&G are wonderful, if you have the time to care for them, go for it. But do learn about them first cause their beak can be dangerous if your not careful. Learn their body language, you'll know when they're being sneaky and wanting to attack. Good Luck!
