Hello All,
My name is Maria and I own a 5 year old Sun Conure named Sunny. Sunny is a wonderful companion and was everything I was looking for in a pet. I came to bird ownership rather by suprise. I have never been crazy about birds, but then my mother in law really got into bird ownership. She purchased a cockatoo and we all gradual fell in love with her antics.
Owning a bird is unlike anything else. It brings such fulfillment and joy to my life. I don't think I could go back to not owning a bird now.
The flock in our home includes:
Sunny - Sun Conure
Peaches - Goffin Cockatoo
Rose - Rose-breasted cockatoo
Ricky - Sulfur Crested Cockatoo
Jasmine - African Grey
Angel - Parakeet
It is a full house and a full-time job but they are all a joy to have. Each one has their own quirks and their own special person. We try to socialize them with everyone, but many have become strong one person birds.
