I'm buying a house! My realtor called me and said the offer they'd take and its one I'm good with! So I'll have a house April 29th!

YAY!!! Good for you! I just purchased my home in May 2011. It has been a fun journey. Enjoy it (well, once the closing is done....the next few weeks will probably be busy for you!)

Yeah, it's going to be very busy! Moving the cages is going to be fun lol. Atleast I only have 1 bird to actually move since I don't have my Grey yet. I am excited!

i found good movers who moved everything, including bird cage, piano, all heavy furniture--and they were really reasonable. They said with the economy as it's been, movers were hurting and their rates were low. Maybe check around. I brought Georgie and Pepe in their small cages and let the movers worry with Georgie's cage! :p The "fun" here is--I moved into a 90 year old house, which is very charming, but, wow i wonder how they got large pieces of furniture up that narrow, sharp turning staircase back in the 20s!!! I have a couple pieces that just couldn't make it up there.

I wish I could've afforded a restored Victorian home but they are way out of my range :( but the one I found was built in 2009 is super nice and has a fireplace and I think a pool table as well!! Plus the backyard is big enough to put an outdoor aviary! I got a quarter of an acre of land that my house sits on.

that's awesome!! New(er) construction is also great. It's not like you have any guessing about how old things are and they are generally more energy efficient overall.

Congrats, the house we have right now we got 3 years ago, it came with a pool table. The owner also said if we paid extra he could bring in ping pong ! The fid might take some time to get used to it though.
