My fellow mod, Shirre/getwozzy made some incredible foraging toys and an apple wood perch for my budgies.

Piper and Twinkle's swing

And their beautiful perch.

And finally, a budgie friendly chew toy for tiny beaks.

Sweet Pea trying to convince Piper and Twinkle to share.

Zeke's super shreddable coconut toy. Sweet Pea got one too and a swing of her own.

Zeke and Sweet Pea deciding who is brave enough to investigate.

Zeke refusing to go inside his cage with the new coconut monster.
Classic quaker attitude! Mom, I did not give you permission to put that thing in my room. I'm not going in, you can't make me go in!

Those look great... and so do the fids!

Poppy's facial expression is priceless. A box, and paper? For me?!

Just like a little kid, the best toy of all is the big box the toys came in...

Oh I'm glad Poppy likes her new box ;) :p lol

Piper and Twinkle's new perch looks awesome in their cage! They're so cute with their toy.

Lol the look on zeke's face!! "Mom. What did you do??"

Christine, the funny thing is, Zeke's my sweet quaker. Horrible Harry doesn't have her new toys yet, because frankly I haven't had the courage for a confrontation with her.

Mark, thank you! Poppy played with her box of paper all afternoon while I worked.

Shirre, Piper and Twinkle couldn't decide what to play with first. They love the perch!

OMG, how sweet of Shirre to send you presents for your babies! They are awesome!
Ekko wants to know where are his?
:)

That should make Ekko happy! He doesn't have to wait very long.

Very nice!! Beautiful toys Shirre! I especially love that one with the budgies.

Allee, Piper and Twinkle are really pretty! Is one a true albino with red eyes, and the other a dark eyed mutation?

I love the name Zeke for pets :) His facial expression along with the caption is hilarious!

Thanks Julie. Yes, Piper on the right is a dark eyed mutation. Twinkle is the red eyed albino on the left. I don't think you can see it, but in the right light little Twinkle has a shimmery green sheen on the feathers on her belly. I know very little about the different mutations, but from what I've read, the green is due to bad breeding. She seems more fragile than Piper too.

Poor Zeke is going through a heavy molt and he's been a little grouchy, he doesn't get angry often, but I love that photo with his feathers fluffed and his cheeks puffed out. Quakers are very picky about their things. He doesn't talk much, but he can say, Zeeeekkk.

Cup Cake papers....I never thought of that....! Great photo's...little guy looks like he holding his breath. You Know when I clean my birds cages out, I roll up a page og news paper and put it in the bottom of cage. My Grey has a blast playing with it.

Hahaha Hawk! I wouldn't put it past a quaker to hold it's breath until it gets what it wants. As soon as Zeke decides the toy isn't going to eat him, he will make confetti out of it.

You know what's funny though allee, I make my own bird toys as well, as buying them can be a bit expensive....With 3 permanent parrots and a recent rescue, it takes me a couple hours to make one toy each, and a day for them to destroy it. ( My Senegal, AKA- the Buzz saw) Can chew up a storm, Literally !) My grey ( chompers) likes to super soak his toys in his water, then make a mess tearing them apart. My Amazons play gentle with them for a while then chew them up. Paper ha ha ha, No need for a shredder any more when you have parrots.

My Grey is a button thief, he can snap a button off a shirt so fast you don't have time to say..WAIT!!! That's probally where he gets the " Awww crap"!

I think a lot of us make our own toys out of self defense, it does get expensive. I had a guy actually tell me he had stopped buying toys for his parrot because the parrot just tore them apart. Well yeah, that's what they do.

One of my quakers was a serious plucker when I got her and she needs to play with toys, but she's a stubborn girl. I'm hoping Shirre's designs will encourage her to play and have fun.

I know Greys are serious chewers, I didn't know Senegals were. What kind of toys does your Senegal like? Buzz saws and paper shredders, that's a good description. Poppy does both, she goes through wood fast, and she loves newspaper, the more, the merrier.

Oh what GREAT photos, Allee, and what AWESOME toy creations by Shirre!! :D

The look on Zeke's face is priceless! I'm laughing so hard over here.

Awww, you're sweet, Shirre:) But I think Ekko would have to fly down and get it as shipping would be astronomical:(

Everyone looks so happy with their new toys! I really like the one for the budgies. What a fun looking, colorful toy:)

Especially shipping to here..I can order from MSBS bunches of stuff, and send it to someone in the states and it is free shipping sometimes, and even when I have to pay it is not bad at all. But sending that same order here? It is almost as much for the shipping as for the product, and that is ridiculous and makes me sad:(
