I've just added something to Bellas vegetables and I think it's a winner!

Organic baby food!

Just drizzled and mixed a spoonful into her food and voila! A slightly more palatable meal and the great thing is there's no added anything - just pure organic fruit and veg!

Note: It would have been better if I'd bought the slightly smaller pouches as once a pouch has been opened and refrigerated it must be used within 48hours, but these were on offer at the supermarket and I will probably consume any leftovers anyway :D

You're putting this over the regular diet? It's pretty cool but lower in fiber than would be helpful, if you're looking at it from a standpoint of fruits and veg. I'd just as soon stick with coconut oil. Does the trick every time, and it adds a different dimension of nutrition.

She still has coconut oil on other meals too. I just thought it would add a little variety :) Do you know of anything else that can be added to vegetables to encourage eating? I sometimes mix half a passion fruit in. I did see a mention of palm oil somewhere, do you know anything about that?

Home made apple sauce helps the medicine, huh I mean vegetables go down LOL. Grating favourite nuts on top also.

You can also mix in some nut or seed butter, or sprinkle some wheat germ on veggies to make them yummier. You can also mix in different parrot-safe spices, such as cayenne, garlic (not too much), ginger, cumin, or true cinnamon. Hmm, another thing you could do would be to break out the vegetable juicer and do up some juices. Like, if you do up rice, couscous, or quinoa, you could add some juice to it for flavour and nutrition. With the leftover pulp, you can mix it in with her veggies for the added fibre.

Thanks for all your suggestions guys! I'm definitely going to try all of these. I like changing things up, I don't want her meals to be too samey or for her to be expectant of particular meal combos. The above suggestions will definitely help. Any more suggestions are welcomed :)
