Hi Sydney. I'm also new and boy am I glad you asked about cookware. I was also wondering about that. I look forward to seeing the answer about candles. I am so paranoid that if I am cleaning, I close Lulu up in a room so that the fumes don't get to her.

that isn't just being paranoid apparently a lot of cleaning fumes are toxic to birds. I am planning on vinegar and water for most of my cleaning from now on, I also got in some GSE extract I read that a few drops in water can help disinfect almost anything. I also got a steam cleaner with some attachments to use for cage cleaning, floors and such since I have to change the way I do things for her health.

I searched around on the forum and found threads about steam cleaning and such. There is a lot more to making my home bird safe than I ever knew when I decided to get a Parrot.
