Pic # 5 is a beautiful portrait showing Ghost's graceful body and handsome face. Why not get an enlargement and have it framed? His character is on display. Remember how movie stars used to have formal portraits made? Yeah. So, it's time I formally introduce my new little ringneck boy, Ghost! He's a rehome at about 4 years old, he's super funny and charismatic and took to me really quickly. He's never had any bird friends before but I'm hoping he'll take to Meg (who's really bird-oriented and has always had and thrived with her male IRN partner before he passed away last year)... We'll see!
He's absolutely adorable, so here's a couple of photos to show off his cutes!
He of course doesn't actually live in the aviary with Meg (yet...?) - but he's allowed to be in there during the days under supervision from me, so that the two can get to know eachother (Meg doesn't like coming out of the aviary). It's going pretty good so far! The cage he came with is in there as well because I literally have no other space to store it I thought I'd use it for some ground foraging but of course neither of them have gone for it... [emoji14]
Anyway, he's starting to find his place in the gang, and although birds approaching him is still kinda scary hethinks, he seems to be enjoying the company and the reciprocated flock calls so far :')
