So, it's time I formally introduce my new little ringneck boy, Ghost! He's a rehome at about 4 years old, he's super funny and charismatic and took to me really quickly. He's never had any bird friends before but I'm hoping he'll take to Meg (who's really bird-oriented and has always had and thrived with her male IRN partner before he passed away last year)... We'll see!

He's absolutely adorable, so here's a couple of photos to show off his cutes!

He of course doesn't actually live in the aviary with Meg (yet...?) - but he's allowed to be in there during the days under supervision from me, so that the two can get to know eachother (Meg doesn't like coming out of the aviary). It's going pretty good so far! The cage he came with is in there as well because I literally have no other space to store it :D I thought I'd use it for some ground foraging but of course neither of them have gone for it... :p

Anyway, he's starting to find his place in the gang, and although birds approaching him is still kinda scary hethinks, he seems to be enjoying the company and the reciprocated flock calls so far :')

He is so gorgeous!!!!! You can see his personality from here!!!! Thanks for giving him a great home and fresh start! Your bird room is really nice too, so much to explore and chew!

he's so darn adorable!

that final image of him as a perfect little borb is so cute

Beautiful coloring

Thanks, I agree! I don't know much about breeding or mutations and he didn't come with any papers or anything, but from a quick Google search I'm guessing he's a blue pallid.

So gorgeous and love the bird room! Thanks for sharing pictures...they always make my day :)

Thanks guys! And thanks for the bird room compliments - since getting that indoor aviary I haven't had as much space for fun play area set-ups as I used to, so I've had to do what I can with the space I have... It did actually open up for a good flight/recall training path from one side of the room to the other though so in the end I'm pretty happy about it as well!

Such a handsome young man!

Congratulations:)

Hes beautiful and the name is perfect.

It is, isn't it? :') I have this thing where I usually try to name my animals after characters from TV shows, books and movies I like - and in ASOIAF (Game of Thrones) one of the direwolves is named Ghost, and he's white with red eyes - while my Ghost is white-ish with a red beak :p My Ghost also looks pretty much like a ghost when swishing by you in a white blur.... So it fits on multiple levels haha!

As the others have stated..Ghost IS gorgeous! I too love what you did with their housing,it is awesome :D And Thank you for taking this guy into your home and heart. I can't wait for more updates and pictures!!
