Hello,

Here are a few pics from our first visit to see our new Blue and Gold. He was hatched 5/10/17. We had a great time and it was good to spend some bonding time with our new family member. We are having him sexed and hope to find out sometime next week if we have a boy or girl so we can pick a name.

Thanks, Kelly and Karl

In case anyone was curious about the username "WakaWaka", PJ our Severe used to say that.
We have no idea where he got it from, he just started with it one day. We always had a good laugh when he would say it.
Of course we plan on introducing that to our new baby.

Thanks
Kelly and Karl

Hmmm, that's where all the beak marks came from on the video controller :)

Here are a few pics from our visit on 6/15/17. He/she is growing nicely, more plumage, very happy, more active this visit. We do not know the sex yet but expect results in a week or two.

Thanks
Kelly and Karl

We had a fantastic visit with our new baby today (7/23/17). Wow is he/she growing !!!
Really active, lots of wing flapping and exercise. A lot more feathers. Loving all the attention and scratching under the wings. 10 weeks old. We were amazed.
Still no results on the DNA test. We've been tossing around a few names but really want to wait till we know the sex.

We hope you enjoy the update and a few pics.

Thanks
Kelly and Karl

Thanks, we knew she would be special. She was hatched one day before we lost PJ. We are taking that as a good sign.
We are hoping she has the good nature of a lot of B&Gs that we hear about here. She will certainly get a lot of love and attention.
Yes, we are referring to our new baby as SHE because we just got the DNA results today.
Its official, its a GIRL !!!
It sound like yours is very loving and a real comedian :) We will do our best to nurture good behavior and nice vocals from her.

Now we need to pick a name. We'll get there, not rushing.

We visited our girl again last weekend. She is growing, more active, and looking fantastic.
She is starting to eat some softened pellets and a few grapes. We are very impressed with the love and care they give to all their birds.

She "christened" Kelly while she was holding her and had to change her smock :)

Kelly and I are zeroing in on a few names but nothing set in stone yet. This is tougher than we thought.

We know we are very lucky to have this opportunity to give this pretty girl a new home and we are looking forward to the day she comes home.

Anyway a few pics for your viewing pleasure. We will upload some videos of her playing with her cell mate "Mentor" in the nursery to Youtube when we get a chance.

Thanks
Kelly and Karl

Thank you for all the nice compliments. She has already stolen our hearts and we don't have her home yet. We will see her again this weekend and hope to feed her some softened pellets and they said she has taken a liking to grapes. Just something to strengthen the bond even more. Hope to pick a name this weekend.

Lady Waka...... LOL, I like that

Thanks
Kelly and Karl

Can anyone see the pics that used to be included on my 1st, 6th, and 7th post in this thread?
I have tried viewing on 3 different computers and at two different houses and internet connections.

Been having issues since I removed the attachments and Moderator assisted in replacing pics with copy / paste from my photo album.
The pics were there after moderators help but disappeared the next day.
I've PMed for additional help.

Thanks
Kelly and Karl

I definitely still see all of the pics. I'd thought, given your last pm to me, that you were seeing them all now as well. Has that changed? If you're still not seeing them now, it might be an individual issue. Let me know.

When I thought they were back, I thought it may be my browser cache so I cleared it. After clearing it, they are gone. Viewing the page on other computers (Windows, Apple, Linux) that have never visited ParrotForums shows that the pictures are missing. I am guessing that if you clear your cache you will most likely find them missing also. Sorry I did not think of the browser cache issue earlier which led me to believe they were ok.

Thanks
Kelly and Karl
